Hi, my name is Bryant Shepherd, owner of True Vision Builds.

I grew up in Idaho riding BMX with a dream of becoming a professional rider. To help fund that dream, I took a job with a local general contractor. Along the way, I learned enough to start building my own ramps in the backyard. Those ramps turned into projects for friends and eventually into larger builds, including skate parks.

I went on to achieve my goal of becoming a professional BMX rider. I spent years traveling, performing in shows, and competing in events such as the Mountain Dew Extreme Action Sports Tour. I also performed at Monster Supercross events, Utah Jazz halftime shows, and drug-free school campaigns.

Even while traveling and riding professionally, I never stopped working in construction.
After moving to Washington, I joined Renewal by Andersen, where I spent eight years as a lead window and door installer. From there, I worked with a residential design-build company, expanding my skills and developing a deeper understanding of high-performance homes and the building envelope.

Over time, I became increasingly interested in the details that make a building truly work: how it manages water, controls air, retains heat, dries out, and stands up to decades of Pacific Northwest weather.

That curiosity ultimately led me to start True Vision Builds.

One of the best parts of building this company has been putting together a crew of experienced carpenters to take this journey with me. Everyone brings something different to the table, and I genuinely love working alongside these guys, learning from them, and building something we can all be proud of.

Today, our work is rooted in modern weatherproofing, building science, water management, and the precision of detailed finish carpentry. My goal is to approach every project with the same question: how can we build this better, make it last longer, and prevent problems before they ever start?

Looking ahead, I want True Vision Builds to continue growing toward high-performance homes built around passive design principles, energy efficiency, durability, and responsible building practices. I’m especially interested in modern barndominiums and rural homes that combine practical design, strong building science, and the kind of quality that holds up for generations.

I want True Vision Builds to be known for paying attention to the things that matter before the walls are closed up — not after something fails.
